PCATS Announces the Board of Director Chair and Vice-Chair for 2010

Stafford, VA – The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) is delighted to announce that Patrick Lewis, partner of Oasis Stop 'N Go Convenience Stores based in Twin Falls, Idaho, will take the helm as Chairman of the Board and Avsha Klachuk, director of marketing technology, Alon Brands based in Dallas, Texas, will serve as PCATS Vice Chair. The appointments were made following an election on January 21 during the Board of Directors Meeting at the 2010 PCATS Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

PCATS Announces Funniest Video Contest

Stafford, VA – The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) today is challenging their conference attendees to submit their funniest online video for the reception at the PCATS Annual Conference on Monday, January 18, 2010, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Video entries must be no more than five minutes in length and contain the following subject matter for consideration: convenience store, fuel pump, customer service, technology, security, teamwork, lottery or really stupid tricks.

PCATS Extends the Discount Registration Fee for the CIO Data Security Boot Camp

Stafford, VA – The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) today announced the extension of the registration fee for the 1-1/2 day chief information officer (CIO) Data Security Boot Camp, January 19-20, during the PCATS 2010 Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. The fee remains $799 for PCATS members and $899 for non-members through January 8 and includes access to the PCATS Annual Conference and related events.

PCATS’ Data Security Committee to Hold First Face-to-Face Meeting at NACS Show 2009

ALEXANDRIA, VA The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) announced today that members of the Data Security Committee will meet on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at 4:00 PM PDT, at the PCATS Lounge in room C-201, during the NACS Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada. All petroleum convenience retail industry professionals are invited to attend the first face-to-face meeting to hear about the latest news relating to data security standards and payment card industry (PCI) compliance issues impacting the industry.

PCATS Launches Data Security Standards Committee with Industry-Wide Meeting

PCATS Executive Director and CEO Steps Down

Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) Executive Director and CEO Tom Oare has informed the PCATS Board of Directors that he will step down effective June 30. The Board of Directors named PCATS Director of Standards Development & Maintenance Scott Wood as interim director, effective July 1.

PCATS Appoints New Secretary

The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) today announced that Kraig Adams, director of collaborative customer capabilities of The Coca-Cola Company, has been appointed to serve as Secretary of the PCATS Board of Directors. Adams also serves as vice-chairman of the PCATS Membership & Marketing Committee.
