Registration for 2009 PCATS Annual Conference Now Open

The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) today announced that registration is available for its Annual Conference, January 26-29, 2009, at The Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando. All convenience and petroleum retail industry professionals are invited to participate in the 2009 Annual Conference and are encouraged to register at www.pcats2009.org/Registration/Registration.aspx.

Celebrating its 5th year anniversary, the PCATS Annual Conference is the only industry event that draws association personnel, convenience store operators, media representatives, petroleum marketers, solution providers, state lottery agents and suppliers to specifically address technology standards. The four-day gathering features valuable information exchange, informative conversations, distinguished luncheon speakers and quality interaction with fellow industry professionals through networking opportunities. "This is the venue where retail convenience professionals collaborate to improve upon the technology standards that eliminate costs from the supply chain," said John Hervey, PCATS executive director and CEO. "More than ever, companies are seeking to reduce their expenses. PCATS provides a cost-effective solution for companies to leverage proven technology that enhances business processes and increases productivity impacting the bottom line."

The 2009 PCATS Annual Conference Addresses:

  • PCI Compliance Planning

  • The Essentials of Bare Bones Project Management
  • Business and Technical Challenges and Solutions

"There is no better time than the present for retailers to attend the PCATS Annual Conference and position themselves for success," said Jenny Bullard, chief information officer and PCATS chair. She added, "The value of the knowledge gained at the Annual Conference in addition to the connections and relationships that industry members build as a result of participating in the Annual Conference cannot be measured by dollars."

The early bird registration rate for one-day is $225 and the full conference fee for two or more days is $350. After January 15, registration rates are $275 and $395 respectively. One complimentary full conference registration will be provided to PCATS member companies that have paid their 2009 PCATS membership dues by January 15. Full conference registration rates drop to $300 after five individuals from the same company register for the event.

In addition, roundtrip transportation will be provided to Downtown Disney® Monday and Universal CityWalk® on Tuesday. Anheuser-Busch, Inc. Senior Manager of E-Business Solutions and PCATS Membership & Marketing Chair Scott Rockafellow said, "In structuring a solid program for the Annual Conference, we plan to deliver sessions rich in content.
