Carl Bayer Joins PCATS Staff

The 20-veteran of NACS is joining PCATS to oversee the IT migration and implementation of DSD and inventory price synchronization standards.

 

ALEXANDRIA, VA – PCATS announced that Carl Bayer has joined the organization as program manager, immediately overseeing the organization’s IT migration and implementation of PCATS DSD and inventory price synchronization standards.

Bayer comes to PCATS after 20 years of service with NACS and its membership in IT, and more recently as director of industry data acquisition and analysis in the NACS Research department. In his latest role at NACS, he managed the Technical Survey and worked on State of the Industry research efforts.

“I had the pleasure of working with Carl when I was vice president of research and technology at NACS and the industry is extremely fortunate to add him to the PCATS team,” said Gray Taylor, executive director of PCATS. “Carl brings true dedication to industry and membership, as well as immense expertise in systems and IT management to the PCATS mission of systems interoperability and technical advocacy.”

Bayer is completing his masters of science in management of information technology at the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce. He graduated with B.A. in political science from Thiel College. He has also earned A+ and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certifications.
