Cybersecurity Horror Stories from the Frontlines

Rob Chapman will share real life cybersecurity stories and discuss current and future threats and architectural implications for the c-store and fuel retail industry.
Robert Chapman, Director of Information Security at PDI, is a IT generalist with a passion for all things security. He lives with his family in Nashville, TN. For the last several years he has led security programs for major retail petrol service providers and has been the security and engineering lead for a large unbranded retail chain. When he's not goofing off with security projects he's usually enjoying camping in the great outdoors.
The Connected Car: NACS Building the Foundation

The connected car is the future of mobility and commerce, but it’s much more than just buying from your dashboard. Karl Doenges, Consultant for NACS, will speak to the key challenges for many convenience retail members, some of the important implications for our industry and what NACS is doing to prepare convenience retailers. Customer behavior changes resulting from a fleet transition to EV’s and autonomy, enabling digital capabilities and data analytics are some of the related items that will have a significant impact on convenience retail.
Karl Doenges, Consultant for NACS on the coming disruption in mobility and how that effects convenience retailers. In this role, Karl focuses on NACS’ EV charging infrastructure program, the digital roadmap program and the Fuels Institute Electric Vehicle Council. Additionally, Karl is a founder and board member of SelenBio, Inc. Previously, he was an advisor for fuel, energy, technology and water to Cranberry Capital, Vice President of Marketing and Government Affairs for Gradiant Corporation, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Business Development for Sweetwater Energy, President at Clean Fuel Distribution and Director of Global Marketing at Wagner and Brown, Ltd.
